Chinese New Year Specials + Red Envelope Roulette
Happy Chinese New Year (Sun Neen Fai Lok)! It’s the year of the tiger and we got our haircuts and cleaned our houses (It’s tradition to do so before the new year). Now, we’re ready to celebrate with you! Check out below for some fun things we’ll be offering all week starting Wednesday (2/2) through Sunday (2/6).
Stir Fried Rice Cakes, or “Chow Nin Go” in Cantonese, is a Shanghainese staple that is eaten during Chinese New Year for good luck and good fortune. “Nin Go” translates to “higher year,” which symbolizes a better year to come. Available daily this week in very limited quantities.
Rice cakes, marinated pork, napa cabbage, spinach and shiitake mushrooms, stir fried in a wok.
We will also be offering a drink special for dine-in only called ‘Tiger’s Punch’, a blend of shochu, hibiscus, coconut milk, mango, and pineapple. Available daily in limited quantities.
We will be handing out 400 red envelopes to anyone who makes an in-store purchase starting on Wednesday (while supplies last). Some will contain some brand spankin’ new stickers we just designed, while 60 of them will contain prizes ranging from free drinks, baos, noodles, t-shirts to the grand prize of Oishii Omakase Berries, courtesy of Oishii!

Holiday-ish Break
Woon will be CLOSED from Wednesday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Jan. 5. We had originally planned on being open through New Year’s Day and taking a much overdue break from Jan. 2 - 11. However, due to a couple of employees testing positive for COVID, we have to close one week early and will be reopening on Thursday, Jan. 6 (pending all negative COVID tests). This has been a whirlwind to navigate, but hopefully we can safely be back on track in the new year.
We appreciate all the support you have given us over the past few years. We can’t wait to come back refreshed and recharged to serve you another year. In the meantime, feel free to shop our Woonware or purchase a gift card.

We are thrilled to be sharing the kitchen with Shanna from Picnic Sandwich, a Homestyle Queens Italian pop up. Our menu will feature collaborative Italian Chinese dishes including: Wok Tossed Woon Chewy Noodle Bolognese, Wok Tossed Woon Chewy Noodle Marinara (Vegan), Knife & Fork Chicken Parm Bao, Bagna Cauda Gai Lan, and a special Gianduja Ice Cream Bao (Vegan). We will be hosting our first ever Woon Holiday Market in conjunction with our Picnic Sandwich Pop Up. Featuring 8 vendors and friends that will be sure to fulfill your holiday shopping needs.
